Cindy Gold is a professional actress and teacher, with 20+ years of experience at Northwestern University Dept. of Theatre, where she is a tenured Professor. Recently she performed in My Fair Lady, directed by Robert Carsen and Olivier Fredj at Lyric Opera Chicago, and Showboat, both at the Lyric Opera in Chicago and the Washington, D.C. National Opera at the Kennedy Center, under the direction of Francesca Zambello. She also appeared at The Kennedy Center in The Daughter of the Regiment, proudly sharing a role with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. She has appeared with The Goodman Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre, Glimmerglass Opera, Broadway in Chicago, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Madison Rep, Notre Dame Shakespeare, Shakespeare Sedona, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Boston Shakespeare, Peninsula Players, and Mental Floss Improvisation, Miami. She was seen on television in Empire, directed by Lee Daniels, Chicago Fire directed by Joe Chappelle, and the pilot episode of TNT's Leverage.
